Filipinos in the Canadian social work field
By Ted Alcuitas
Five Filipino scholars from across Canada will put their minds together to tackle racialized labour and how we move from representation to transformation. These and other issues affecting the Filipino community in Canada will be explored by a panel chaired by Dr. Fritz Pino from the University of Regina. Others panelists include Dr. Ilyan Ferrer of Calgary, Monica Batac of McGill and Jessica E. Ticar and Carla Azores from Toronto.
The panel at the University of British Columbia will be of interest to social service and community workers.
The event will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 3:30 – 5 PM at Rm. ORCH3004.
