Former Vancouver resident Marie Claire Lim-Moore was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for TransUnion Hong Kong on April 20, 2020 as the credit reporting giant relaunches its online consumer platform.

“I am delighted and honoured to join TransUnion. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the vital role that TransUnion plays in making trust possible between businesses and consumers and helping advance financial inclusion to enable consumers access opportunities that lead to a higher quality of life, “ says the mother of three.

Lim-Moore looks forward to leveraging her skills and expertise in the financial industry “ to continue contributing to this important mission and elevate this business, which is so strong already, and take it to the next level,” she adds.

The company says the appointment “ comes at an important time for TransUnion Hong Kong, as we recently initiated a phased relaunch of our enhanced online consumer platform and we are planning various innovations to help promote responsible borrowing and enable consumers access to credit.”

Lim-Moore joins TransUnion from Visa where she was head of consulting and analytics for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Prior to that, she spent 15 years with Citigroup in Singapore as Regional Director for Global Banking.

Born and raised in Vancouver, she moved to New York where her mother, Lenore, taught at the U.N.  International School. She finished an International Baccalaureate Degree at the school and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree at Yale University.

Claire is the daughter of  Lenore and Jose Lim and has a brother Justin. Lenore is an accomplished artist who has exhibited in many countries including the Philippines and New York where she maintains a print studio. They alternate between their old city Vancouver and New York.

With a busy career, Lim-Moore never forgets to spend time with her family and tries to balance both – a daunting task in this day and age.Parents Lenore and Jose helps by spending time with her on holidays and specials occasions. If that is not possible, grandson Carlos makes sure ‘Lolo’ knows how to navigate Zoom, FaceTime and other tech aids.

Lim-Moore is not only successful in the business world but is a best-selling author of two books: Don’t Forget the Soap and Don’t Forget the Parsley (And More from My Positively Filipino Family).

She wrote the first book while on maternity leave with her second child in Singapore.” Don’t Forget the Soap is actually a story about people who have inspired me, first and foremost my mother,” she says.

Moore  has been ranked as one of the 100 Most Influential Filipino Women in the World for her contributions to female mentorship and leadership in her respective field. She has been featured by CNN, USA Today, Smart Parenting, People Asia, Time Out Hong Kong, and USA Today.

Where  the next ceiling to break is hard to tell, but with her storied career, this daughter of Filipino immigrants is a woman worth watching.
