The Saskatchewan Filipino Music and Food Street Festival 2021 is happening this August 7 and 8 (Saturday and Sunday) at the 23rd St. E (between 3rd Ave and 4th Ave) in Saskatoon from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for its grand launch.

It will feature the wonderful sounds and flavours of the Philippines in the street festival that aims to promote the amazing Filipino culture through food and music with the special participation of great Filipino food vendors and talented musicians from all over Saskatchewan.

The event’s guest of honour will be Philippine Consul General for Alberta and Saskatchewan Zaldy Patron.

There will also be immigration consultants who will answer queries from all the guests.

AGA Academy  is “passionate about creating a global academic experience and building a sustainable future for our students. We are dedicated to excellence in teaching and learning, providing students with the advantage of outstanding experiential learning in a supportive academic environment both for those who are in Canada and for aspiring international students,” according to its website.

Its programs are designed to respond to the diverse and continuously evolving local labour market demands to prepare  students for a seamless transition to the workforce and ensuring guidance and support along the way.

“Our programs, in diverse fields of study, are rising to the top of interaction and service-learning. Our people, with all of our cultural backgrounds combined with our strong sense of community, make AGA Academy a special place,” it claims.

The festival, organized by GKM Events, will be a great opportunity for the whole family to bond and for Filipinos to invite other cultures and ethnicities in Saskatchewan to learn about, embrace and love authentic Filipino food, music, the people and our beautiful culture in a special event.

Famous Filipino dishes like lechon (roasted pig), pork barbecue, lumpia (spring roll) and pancit (stir fried noodles) will be some of the main attractions aside from many more dishes to choose from.
