The Class of 2018

By Ted Alcuitas

It is that time of year again when we honour and celebrate the graduates who have made the grade – whether in elementary, undergrad or post-graduate.

Graduation is a work of discipline and commitment and the journey is not easy as recent graduate  Phebe Ferrer says in her Facebook post, “it is also a joint effort – from family, friends and others who support the graduate in the journey.”

Congratulations to these graduates.

Phebe Ferrer

UBC, International Relations

“Her research interests include studying migration policy, identity formation within Filipino diasporic communities, Indigenous-immigrant relations in Canada, and Philippine foreign relations. In line with these interests, Phebe ran a student-directed seminar this semester about the Filipino diaspora in Canada, and issues that are important to the community.”

Phebe is pursuing a Master’s Program also at UBC.
