Negrosanons holds ceremony June 11

Former natives of Negros Province now living in Canada and the U.S. is holding their induction cermeony June 11, 2016 at Wilmar Heights Centre in Scarborough, Ontario.

Roger Mercado, president of the Ang Negrosanon in North America (ANNA) said in a press release that the “success of ANNA was an important service they have done for the Filipino-Canadian community.”

Mercado, a native of Himamaylan, Negros Occidental, came to Canada in 1974 and has “always tried to maintain the culture within his own home.” He says he is always a strong supporter of other organizations that want to share their Filipino culture.

ANNA’s new officers include President- Roger Mercado, V-President -Dolly Juanero, Secretary- Enrique Campo Jr., Asst. Secretary- John Mercado, Treasurer- Jeselyn Moreno, Asst Treasurer- Mili Salis. Auditor- Remy Laxamana, PR- Philip Soropia.
Board of Directors: Executive Director- Roger Mercado, Jocelyn Panizal, Ofelia Rivera, Imelda Lamasan, Fabel Sunico, Ramon Villareal, Joyce Lo, Lisa Vallera, Porferio Penolvo,. Advisers: Jun Deleon, Rocky Delapena, Joel Marilla.

That it is not advertiser driven. And I think that its great that your stories run from funny to insightful… Keep up the good work. I normally do not read cultural papers, but I will definitely be checking your interesting topics at least once a week
