‘Life in the time of Covid’

The works of Toronto couple Joe & Patty Rivera will be on view at a livestream performance on Saturday, August 1, 2020.

‘Life in the time of Covid’ is a poetry performance by Toronto poet Patria Rivera who will read her Haiku poetry. Husband Joe’s oil paintings is on exhibit.

Patria ‘Patty’ Rivera is an accomplished poet, writer and editor. The author of four poetry books and two chapbooks, she was shortlisted for the 2006 Canadian Trillium Book Award for Poetry. Her works include Puti/White (2005), The Bride Anthology (2007), BE (2011) and The Time Between (2018). 

Joe Rivera, a retired lawyer and blogger ( An Uncomplicated Mind) turned to painting after many years of law practice. His works have been exhibited at the Asian Heritage Month Festival and local Toronto galleries. 

Moderated by Lien Chao, participants can dialogue with the artists.
