Vancouver’s Filipino LGBTQ+ community is presenting an event-studded celebration this Saturday, June 16th at XY Lounge. Well-known tattoo artist and performer Romeo Reyes will be on stage together with other talents – Kimmortal,Naomi King,Marvin Hauser, Jade Sol and Wel. There will be an exhibit of works of artists Mildred German, PulitiQ and others.
The event will start at 7 PM. XY Lounge is at 1216 Bute St. in Vancouver.

We’re excited to announce Romeo Reyes, a talented Actor, Singer-Songwriter, Tattoo Artist, Painter, and Model will be performing for us at Liberacion at XY Lounge on June 16th, 2018.
Romeo made his acting debut in Nimisha Mukerji & Orsy Szabó’s short film, “In The Deep” where he played a Tattoo Artist. He has also played the female role of Carmen in the Award-winning Short Horror Film, “Dia De Los Muertos”, directed by Gigi Saul Guerrero. Romeo has also portrayed a Tattoo Artist on the hit show, “Supernatural”.
Romeo has performed in numerous venues as a Singer-Songwriter and a DJ. He has performed and DJ’d for charity events, LGBTQ events, fashion shows & art shows locally, and in Seattle & Hawaii. He has participated as a model for an Urban fashion show, an Alternative fashion show, Professional Hair show & numerous photo shoots.
Romeo is also a Tattoo Artist and in 2016 he has opened his first shop called, “Zen Tattoo” in Vancouver, B.C. Specializing in Asian, Filipino, Portrait, and Spiritual Tattoos. He loves to paint portraits, and his work has been published in The Province newspaper. Some owners of his original work include Norah Jones & Kat Von D.
Romeo has produced and directed his own show filmed by Nathalie De Los Santos titled, “Interview of the Month!” which showcases different viewpoints from the transgender community. He has also documented the changes in his vocal range during the first few years of his gender transition.
