World Karate & Kickboxing Champions

Three women from Winnipeg’s Sikaran Arnis Academy Martial Arts School,  representing Canada at the WKC world Karate and Kickboxing Championships in Dublin, Ireland. Oct. 27 to Nov. 2, 2018 won medals for the team.

Lee Angela Igne, 16, 1st degree black belt – Silver Medal for Creative Weapon, 5th best fighter for point sparring.

Younger sister, Lynn Igne, 12,black belt ranked 5th best fighter for point sparring and 7th for creative weapons form.

Miley Carino,9 years old, brown belt. Bronze Medal for Creative weapon Form and Bronze medal for Traditional Hard Style Hand Forms.

Their coach, Kelly Legaspi accompanied the girls to Dublin acting as their chaperon. 

Legaspi was thankful for the hospitality of Filipinos in Dublin during their stay throughout the competition.
