Another Filipino man missing

Ground search starts today at 5 PM

Another Filipino man went missing yesterday (May 14), the New Westminster Police has reported and is seeking the public’s help in locating him.

Magnus Manson, reportedly a high-risk person, was last seen in uptown New Westminster at about 7 A.M. yesterday.

“We are asking the public to help us locate Magnus,” said NWPD Sgt. Andrew Leaver. “It’s important we find him as soon as possible. Friends and family are very concerned for his safety.”
Magnus is described as 38-year-old , 5’11” tall and having a slim build, brown eyes, and black hair typically worn in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a black Lululemon puffer jacket and black Lululemon jogger pants.
Magnus has been known to frequent different parks and places of worship in both New Westminster and Burnaby including: Grimston Park, Moody Park, Robert Burnaby Park, St. Peter’s Church, St. Michael’s Church, and Our Lady Mercy Church.
“We are asking the public to help us locate Magnus,” stated Sergeant Andrew Leaver. “It’s important we find him as soon as possible. Friends and family are very concerned for his safety.”
If you see Magnus, investigators ask that you call 9-1-1 immediately.

Police update as of May 14 1:57pm
“The Marine search team have completed their search and there was no sign of Magnus in the water.
His info has been shared with all the tug boat companies in the lower mainland, with emphasis on the ones that run up and down the Fraser River
The police currently are reviewing the footage for New West station and the buses than ran from Moody park on the night of May 13th”
