Nipanaw si Inday nga malinawon ug gilibutan sa iyang pamilya – iyang bana, si Priscilo ‘Loly’ Alcordo, mga anak nga Francene ug Basil, pag-umangkon, Eldrizah Alo Empuerto ug iyang anak nga si Mira Empuerto.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our wife, mother, sister and friend, ‘Inday’ at 1:46 PM, Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Vancouver General Hospital.
She was admitted to Vancouver General Hospital last Sunday, August 2 and underwent open-heart surgery for five bypass procedures.
She died peacefully surrounded by her dear family – husband, Priscilo ‘Loly’ Alcordo, sons Francene and Basil, niece Eldrizah Alo Empuerto and her daughter, Mira.
Inday was a graduate midwife from Aloran, Misamis Occidental, and immigrated to Vancouver in 1975. Her fiancee, Loly, a native of Carcar City in Cebu followed in 1977 and they were married in Vancouver on September 3, 1977.
She recently retired from George Pearson Centre where she worked in Central Supply.
Inday was active in the community and was a long-time member of the church choir originally at St. Jude’s, St. Mary’s and lately at St. Patrick’s Parish.
She is survived by husband Priscilo, sons Francene and Basil in Vancouver, niece Eldrizah Alo-Empuerto and Mark and daughter Mira in Vancouver. Nephew Irel & Celeste Alo of Vancouver and their children.
Many other relatives in Canada and the Philippines.
