Marcelina was an active organizer for the NDP and was involved in the 2017 campaign.

“….She’s a mother and a grandmother, but I know her best as a fierce New Democrat activist and  a tireless organizer for the marginalized working class. She was kind. She was principled. She was fearless,” tweeted Bowinn Ma, the NDP MLA for North Vancouver-Lonsdale and Minister of State for Infrastructure.

She posted this picture with Marcelina (with hat) to her right.
