Today, as she turns 57th,Leni Robredo faces what is perhaps the greatest battle of her life so far – that of winning the Presidency of the Philippines, 16 days on May 9th.
Yet, this intrepid woman has faced and survived many battles in her life and we have no doubt she will survive this one.
From becoming a single mother of three when her husband died in a plane crash to becoming a Congresswoman to Vice-President, Leonor âLeniâ Robredo is well prepared for this battle.
And it is a battle indeed.
This election is a repeat of the momentous fight between her and Ferdinand âBongbongâ Marcos, Jr., son of the infamous dictator, who lost in the 2016 vice-presidential race.Â
And she won despite Marcosâ five-year effort to unseat her.
Remember that in our history a woman, Corazon Aquino, widow of the assassinated Ninoy Aquino, defeated the dictator Marcos in 1986.
As we stand today on the crossroads of history, another woman will surely defeat the forces of evil.
âIf God is with us, who can be against?â
In time for her 57th birthday, presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo enjoyed three historic endorsements this weekend.
1. Around 1,000 Catholic bishops and priests, who have previously avoided openly endorsing candidates but were asked to for guidance by their flock.
2. Major labor group Kilusang Mayo Uno, which had not previously endorsed politicians since its founding in 1980.
3. The Moro Islamic Liberation Front and its political party, the United Bangsamoro Justice Party, which is crucial to the BARMM for the first time, came out in support of a presidential candidate.

Worldwide support
All over the world where there are Filipinos, Robredo has been getting support as social media is awash in pink – unprecedented in recent Philippine history.
Even as we write, here in Vancouver, supporters are meeting tomorrow, Sunday (April 24) to celebrate her birthday.

Tina A. Astorga posted this as the grand rally happened in Pasay City:
“As of now, there are 1.3 million who registered online to attend the rally. 500K is a phenomenons million is a miracle & 1 million +++ is heaven!”
With the groundswell of support, the momentum is unstoppable.
Victory will be ours on May 9th!
