The traditional ‘Pabasa’ is usually held during the Lenten week in the Philippines but also during the nine days novena for the dead during a wake prior to burial. Marcos was buried yesterday (November 18, Philippine time) at the Heroes Cemetery despite widespread opposition and after the Philippine Supreme Court approved the burial in a controversial decision on November 8.
